YOUR WEDDING DAY
Shooting weddings in Leeds, Yorkshire and across the UK.
It’s important to record your wedding day and hiring a wedding photographer means you can treasure and relive the memories of the day forever.
A wedding is an expensive occasion so if you’re paying for a photographer as well you should pick one after you’ve seen their work.
Not just their highlighted pictures, on their website or on their flyer, these could have been staged and are not always what you’ll actually get on the day.
I’m a contemporary wedding photographer, which means my images tell a tale of the day in a photojournalist style.
I am, however, happy to, and usually do, take some more formal and posed shots whenever required.
THIS IS HOW I TELL WEDDING STORIES
I offer this on all my wedding packages as it helps me get to know you before your special day but also, and probably more importantly, it helps you get used to being in front of a camera.
You’re probably not used to being photographed none stop so this couple of hours helps you understand what it’s all about.
A FEW IDEAS ON LOCAL LOCATIONS
KIRKSTALL ABBEY, ROUNDHAY PARK, YORKSHIRE SCULPTURE PARK, ILKLEY MOOR, OTLEY CHEVIN, TEMPLE NEWSAM, BOLTON ABBEY, MEANWOOD VALLEY TRAIL, HAREWOOD HOUSE OR EVEN YOUR WEDDING VENUE.
Capturing high quality photographs of the venue from it’s architecture to it’s interiors provides you with a timeless memento of the beautiful surrounding you’ve chosen to host your special day.
A lot of effort is put into your wedding day, not only by yourself but by others close to you so it’s important to create a photographic record of this hard work and dedication.
A vital part of the day where the photos document the steps you go through to tie the knot and allow you chance to see the actual event from outside your nervous, blinkered view of the ceremony on the actual day.
THE FORMAL SHOTS
Although I tend capture spontaneous moments throughout the day I just have to get the bride and groom together for their own little photoshoot, it just wouldn’t be right not to and if you’re going to do this then there’s always a few family shots that could be caught at the same time.
I frequently get asked to photograph the Bride & Groom’s closest friends and family however you may also want to use this time get a picture with that uncle from New Zealand or an elderly grandmother that you don’t get to see very often.
A chance to capture the nerves of the best man, the smiling faces of your family and the laughter from your friends as the Groom’s darkest secrets are revealed!
THE NIGHT DO
My favourite part of the day when everyone lets their hair down and really starts to have fun. The photos at this point really capture the atmosphere and the relationships in the room.
Filters can be added to your photos to add something unique to the collection or accentuate a particular favourite. Your photos can be turned black & white and then a splash of colour can be added over the whole image – like a sepia tone.
