Victoria Leeds Dusk Photography | Leeds Architecture Photographer

Victoria Quarter Leeds Dusk Photography by Bevan Cockerill

As the light began to fade, I returned to photograph the exterior architecture of Victoria Leeds at sunset and into blue hour. These are always the images that create the real wow factor for shopping centre photography and commercial architecture photography – when the building lighting starts to glow against the deep blue sky and the reflections across the glass, stone and pavements begin to come alive. Leeds city centre has some incredible architecture, and photographing landmarks like Victoria Leeds at dusk gives the whole development a much more cinematic and luxurious feel.

Dusk photography requires careful timing, planning and patience, as the perfect balance between the ambient evening light and the architectural lighting only lasts for a short window of time. I positioned myself around Victoria Gate, County Arcade, Victoria Quarter and the surrounding streets to capture the scale, detail and atmosphere of the development while the city was still full of life. These twilight architectural photographs have become some of my favourite images from the shoot and really help showcase Victoria Leeds as one of the most visually impressive retail destinations in the UK.
