This bookcase was just fitted into a house in Roundhay, Leeds. I booked in time some time with Tom Maxwell‘s clients then took some portable lights, my camera and a few ornaments with me for the shoot. When I arrived the cabinet had just been filled with board games, in the lower part of the cabinet, and quite a few books across the top shelves. Some of the books weren’t in the best condition so I removed the odd one or two but left the rest to show the bookcase, in it’s rightful home, serving the purpose it was built for. I moved a few books around, added a few ornaments, cleared the space in the room and fired two flash guns, with light stand and umbrellas at the American Walnut bookcase. Taking a few full length shots and then some more detailed ones to show off everything the piece of furniture had to offer. Then I took the photographs home and edited them for the following week, uploading them for approval on my website and then uploading them to Tom Maxwell’s website once he was happy.
