Tom Maxwell asked me to photograph some fitted bookshelves he’s just installed in Chapel Allerton, Leeds as they are the current trend of furniture. The room had just been decorated with new carpets so the whole room was looking fresh and just right for some photographs.
I took some props with me to dress the shelves, along with my camera and lights and after arranging a suitable time with Tom’s client I popped over to their home. I carefully moved things round, took out personal photographs, added some more generic and widely used storage items so that Tom’s new customers could see how the space could be used with a variety of contrasting items. Then I went ahead and took some photos from different angles.
After I finished the shoot I carefully put everything back as I found it, took the photos home to edit and a week later I have them ready to upload to Tom’s website.
