Barnsley Charity Hospital asked me to design a logo for a new event they’re going to run next year. A fun run with a difference, where at certain stages of the fun run course they will have Rainbow Warriors throwing powder paint at the contestants. The event is less about running but more to do with taking part and having fun. We threw some ideas between us and came up with the slogan ‘painting the tarn’ as this is what they call town in Barnsley and they asked me to come up with a logo that was bright and messy.
I came up with a mood board so I could work out what they liked and didn’t like from a collection of ideas. I then created a few different logo concepts which were narrowed down to one which I tweaked to this final design.
Following the design of the logo I asked what was the important information that was needed individually on the poster, the flyer and the banner. I then created each one separately, making sure they were happy with the finished product on each before I started the next.
