The Brief
For this project, I was commissioned by Park Crest Properties to photograph a student house in Burley, Leeds. The aim was to create a set of high-quality still images and a 360° virtual tour to showcase the property online and attract new tenants. Rather than relying on simple room shots, the goal was to present the house as a welcoming, modern space that potential tenants could imagine themselves living in.
Preparing the Space
Although the client had brought a few items to help dress the rooms, I added a collection of my own props to bring the interiors to life. These included plants, cushions, throws, books, ornaments and small gadgets – details that help to make an otherwise empty property feel lived in and inviting. This approach gives viewers a better sense of how the space could work for them and helps listings stand out from others in the same price range.
The Shoot
Once the styling was complete, I captured a series of still photographs that focused on light, layout and atmosphere. I then created a 360° virtual tour, allowing potential tenants to explore each room in detail before arranging a viewing. The tour gives a realistic impression of size and flow, helping to filter out those who might otherwise book a visit but decide it’s not for them.
The Results
The finished set of stills and the interactive virtual tour can now be easily embedded on the Park Crest Properties website and shared across property listings and social media platforms. This combination offers a far richer and more engaging viewing experience than static photos alone. For landlords and letting agents, it’s an effective way to showcase properties professionally, reduce wasted viewings and attract serious tenant interest.
