COPYRIGHT AND IMAGE LICENSING
I retain the rights to any photograph I have taken – unless you have specifically paid an additional fee to own that image as a separate expense. If you hire me to take some photos of a project I will own the copyright of that image but you will still be able to use the images in whichever way you wanted to when you hired me.
I’m very happy if you’d like to use my images to help promote something, you just need to agree to the terms of use. These usually include a license fee and the following points. You will need to have completed the pop up form below and signed the online box to confirm you agree to the terms and I will send you a copy of the images you can use.
CREDIT & Tag
Where possible, images should be credited to Bevan Cockerill.
Where possible, a backlink should be included to www.bevancockerill.com
Where possible, if images are used on social media, they should be tagged and credited using @bevancockerill on all social channels.
DO NOT edit THE IMAGES
Images must not be manipulated, altered or edited in any form without the express written permission by Bevan Cockerill – THE PHOTOGRAPHER.
Company logos, filters, overlays, or text must not be added to the image unless agreed with Bevan in writing and all credit terms are upheld.
DO NOT SHARE THE IMAGES
You may not resell, re-licence, or redistribute the images in any way.
Any requests to use the images by a third party must be directed to Bevan Cockerill (THE PHOTOGRAPHER) at [email protected].
Images may not be shared with project partners (e.g. suppliers, architects, designers, or clients) without prior written consent unless a shared licence has been granted by Bevan.
OWNERSHIP & RIGHTS
Bevan Cockerill (THE PHOTOGRAPHER) retains all rights, copyright, title, and ownership of all images.
A non-exclusive licence is granted to you for use of the images for promotion, publicity, and public relations purposes, or as otherwise agreed in writing.
This licence does not transfer ownership or copyright of the images.
LICENCE TERM
The licence is granted for a period of five (2) years from the date of this agreement.
Continued use beyond this period may be renewed upon request or with written confirmation from Bevan Cockerill (THE PHOTOGRAPHER).
Bevan reserves the right to review, amend, or withdraw the licence at any time in the event of misuse or breach of these Terms of Use.
Images must not be used beyond the agreed term or for new campaigns, advertising, or other commercial use without renewal or additional written consent.
ADDITIONAL LICENCES
Bevan Cockerill (THE PHOTOGRAPHER) may issue additional licences for use in marketing, PR, press, web, magazines, portfolios, award submissions, case studies, videos, and brochures.
Standard licences do not include advertising, published books, or paid media campaigns — these may be purchased separately.
GENERAL
Credit and usage terms must remain intact when images are published online or shared with media outlets.
By using the images, you agree to these Terms of Use.
Any breach of these terms may result in withdrawal of the licence and potential legal action for unauthorised use.

If purchasing a licence or have been allowed to us Bevan Cockerill’s images free of charge you must submit the below Terms of Use Agreement and Bevan will either send you a copy of the images or will send you an invoice to clear beforehand.
