Welcome to the photographs for Audrey and Richard’s wedding at the Hospitium in York. I had a great time photographing the wedding party around the Museum Gardens and was able to take the bride and groom out into St Mary’s Abbey which was a pretty impressive site.
There was an obvious Harry Potter theme to the day which I found quite exciting as they wanted me to capture a bit of magic into a photo or two. At one point I was photographing the happy couple on a log and they were joined by a squirrel and a couple of birds which certainly added a fairytale feel to the picture. There’s also a little Photoshop trickery added to the image above. Are they trying to stop the Lord Voldemort joining the wedding or did they summon the Dark Mark? Very fun to be a part of, either way.
The Leeds City Stompers put on an impressive show for the wedding party, with a 1920’s blues and swing set. This was really up my street so was a real delight to work to and they had a very unique look which was awesome to photograph.
