Aakash is housed within the Victorian, Grade two listed, Chapel of Cleckheaton designed by Lockwood & Mawson, with an impressive stone pillar entrance and an elaborate organ dressing the stairwell leading to a second floor, horseshoe balcony of dining tables. What I presume was previously an alter has now been transformed into a romantic table for two which overlooks the entire restaurant which is easily transformed from it’s buffet style layout into an elegant, wedding dressed banquet hall. Then downstairs is the home to an beautiful function room with chandeliers hanging from sky painted ceilings which are in turn lined with multicoloured lights, this room is for a more private affair which is again used frequently for weddings.
