A golden hour pre-wedding shoot is the perfect way to feel relaxed in front of the camera ahead of your big day—and this one at Surprise View in Otley Chevin Park was a dream.
We started with a drink and a relaxed chat at The Royalty pub, where I sat down with the couple to hear more about their wedding day plans. These pre-wedding meetings are more than just admin—they’re a chance to connect, get a feel for the kind of photography you love, and chat through the order of the day, the key moments, and where to get the best shots around the ceremony and reception venues.
Once we’d covered the details, we headed up into the park just in time for a sunset shoot overlooking the stunning Wharfedale valley. Pre-wedding sessions like this help couples feel more at ease on camera—it’s not every day you have a lens pointed at you, so knowing how I work and how you move together really pays off. It also gives me the chance to figure out which angles and poses suit you best, so nothing feels awkward or rushed on the day.
